Even if your soldier is fortunate enough to be in an FOB like Liberty or Victory, the PX's are seldom fully stocked, and the inventory evidently changes often. When our sons were deployed, they were constantly wanting new games, dvd's, snack food, their favorite toiletries and razors, sheets, and 'stuff from home'.

In the sidebar on the left, you will find links to American stores and businesses that actively support our military and their families.

And please, don't miss the Archived Section containing priceless information on shipping to your soldier! I will occasionally copy that post as new so that it will stay close to the top, as it contains valuable information.

To See Our Soldiers..

If you didn't watch or tivo the Fox NFL Sunday special from Afghanistan, If you didn't watch or tivo this, you missed a HUGE blessing! We so rarely get to see our soldiers interacting in any way, other than the derrogatory garbage the news channels dish out against our troops. To see so many of them enjoying the simple things like conversation and football talk was nothing short of tremendous. Thank You FOX, and all the NFL Sunday crew.

There were still thousands of our brave men and women who didn't get to participate or enjoy the show, but know that WE KNOW you're there, and you are all not forgotten, you are all loved, and you are each and every one prayed for. Our domestic messes here seem so small in comparison to the jobs you men and women do to allow us the privilege of squabbling among ourselves. We're still the greatest country on earth, and to hear all those soldiers chanting USA! USA! at the end of the Fox NFL show is what it's all about.
